Cancellation Policy

For Hirers (Renters)

At RentnRide, we understand that plans can change. This cancellation policy ensures fairness between hirers and vehicle providers.

Cancelling After Full Booking

  • Before 72 hours of trip start:
    25% of the total rental amount + Handling Fee will be deducted.
  • Before 48 hours of trip start:
    50% of the total rental amount + Handling Fee will be deducted.
  • Before 24 hours of trip start:
    75% of the total rental amount + Handling Fee will be deducted.
  • After 24 hours of trip start:
    No cancellations will be accepted and no refund will be provided.

Note: The Handling Fee is non-refundable.

Repeated Cancellations

If you make frequent or repeated cancellations, your account may be reviewed and could be temporarily suspended or permanently deactivated.

Refund Timeline

All approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days after the cancellation is confirmed.

For Vehicle Providers (Hosts)

Vehicle providers are expected to honor all confirmed bookings. The following conditions apply to provider cancellations:

Cancelling a Confirmed Booking

  • RentnRide will immediately notify the hirer.
  • RentnRide will attempt to offer the hirer an alternative vehicle option for the same rental amount.
  • If no suitable replacement is available, the hirer will receive a full refund, including the Handling Fee, with no charges applied.
  • The provider may be charged a cancellation fee (if the reason is not valid, e.g., not due to a vehicle breakdown or similar issue) or face temporary suspension.

Repeated Cancellations

  • Reduced listing visibility
  • Temporary account suspension
  • Permanent account deactivation

Exceptional Circumstances

If a provider must cancel due to genuine emergencies (e.g., vehicle breakdown, accident, or other unavoidable events), they must contact RentnRide Support immediately. Supporting documents may be requested for verification and review.
